Announce your engagement. This is to notify friends and family of your wonderful news and let them know when you are planning to get married. Send out announcements and/or put a notice in the newspapers. Start a Website or a Blog. Tell the world!
Decide what type of wedding you will have. Will your wedding be formal or informal? Will your groomsmen be in suits or tuxedos? Will your bridesmaids wear matching dresses or can they pick a dress of their own choosing. Another consideration would be to decide the budget for your wedding. How much money do you have to spend? Will you be paying all or part yourselves?
Set your wedding date and make an appointment to visit clergyman. Once your date is set you can schedule an appointment with your clergyman to select the proper service.

Make a guest list. Start your guest list and decide who will be invited to the wedding. Estimate number of guests, you will need to know whether a facility can be accommodating. Remember to include input from other important family members.
Select bridesmaids, maid (matron) of honor, best man and groomsmen. Decide who will be in the wedding party. Will you have flower girls? Ring bearers?
Select your wedding dress and what the bridesmaids will wear. Choose the wedding attire for you and your bridesmaids.
Register at the bridal registry of your favorite stores. Registering at stores helps guests find a gift that you will be sure to like and ones you need. Include this information in shower invitations.
Discuss honeymoon possibilities and if necessary visit a travel agency. Decide where you would like to go on your honeymoon. Get brochures to help you decide. Visit Websites and forums.
